Product Care
GENERAL CARE
At RubyAqua Jewelry, we are committed to helping you maintain the beauty and longevity of your jewelry. A general rule of thumb is to put on your jewelry last and take it off first. We recommend removing any jewelry before swimming, bathing, sleeping, or engaging in strenuous activities. Avoid contact with oils, lotions, perfumes, and hairspray to prevent damage such as abrasions and loss of luster.

14K Gold Plated
All of our jewelry is plated with 14K solid gold, ensuring both strength and durability. However, please note that gold-plated jewelry will naturally experience some loss of plating and tarnishing over time, especially when exposed to elements like water, moisture, perspiration, cosmetics (i.e., lotions/perfume), chlorine, sulfur, and other harsh chemicals.

To extend the life of your gold-plated jewelry, we recommend removing and storing it in your RubyAqua dust pouch during the following activities:
-
Household or outdoor chores
-
Showering, bathing, swimming, or any exposure to water/moisture
-
Strenuous activities/exercising
-
Using hair or body products such as lotions, perfumes, hairsprays, etc.
If your gold-plated jewelry comes into contact with any of these elements, gently wipe it with a dry microfiber cloth. For any questions or concerns about caring for your gold-plated items, please contact customercare@rubyaqua.com.
