Carmen Kossakowski

Founder & CEO

Carmen Kossakowski, currently a junior at Washington University in St. Louis, started her journey into the world of jewelry design at the young age of 14, six years ago in Toronto, Canada.

Frustrated by the lack of affordable, high-quality jewelry that matched her aesthetic and didn't irritate her skin, Carmen decided to take matters into her own hands. She began crafting her own pieces, focusing on creating stylish, chic, and skin-friendly designs. Her designs quickly caught the attention of her friends, who admired her prototypes and eagerly requested pieces of their own.

Recognizing the business potential in her newfound passion, Carmen seized the opportunity to launch RubyAqua Jewelry. This venture allowed her to express her creative voice, one that had been long overshadowed by more "realistic" pursuits such as her studies in finance. Through RubyAqua Jewelry, Carmen has successfully blended her artistic flair with entrepreneurial spirit, creating a brand that resonates with young, fashion-forward individuals.

The Beginning

At the age of 14, Carmen Kossakowski embarked on her entrepreneurial journey with just $200 to purchase materials and a vision for creating affordable, high-quality jewelry that reflected her unique style. She began by posting TikToks to promote her designs, and it wasn’t long before her first video went viral, capturing the attention of thousands.

 

The success of that initial video allowed Carmen to reinvest in herself and her budding business. She quickly realized that running a company required more than just creativity; it demanded a diverse set of skills and knowledge. Undeterred by the challenges, Carmen immersed herself in learning everything she could about business management, marketing, and product development. She spent countless hours researching, experimenting, and refining her craft.

 

As her skills improved, so did her designs and content. Carmen's dedication paid off when her TikTok channel experienced massive growth, garnering the attention of millions.

The Growth

Since its inception in 2018, RubyAqua Jewelry has experienced significant growth, shipping thousands of orders to all 50 states and over 120 countries. The brand's appeal is reflected in its ability to connect with millions of customers worldwide. This success is a testament to the commitment to quality, innovation, and design that defines RubyAqua Jewelry.
